Obel Mito Up Touch M75 Performance Coffee Grinder

Seventy-five millimetres is the biggest burr set Obel puts in a Mito, and burr diameter is the thing that decides how hard a grinder can be worked.

More cutting surface means each dose spends less time between the burrs. Less time means less heat into the coffee and a faster ticket, and it means the burrs themselves wear across a larger area — so a machine grinding all day reaches its service interval later than a smaller one doing the same work. Forced air ventilation takes away the heat that does build up, which is what lets it run through a rush without the cup drifting.

Everything else is the workhorse specification shared with the M64. A 1.2 kilogram hopper, so nobody refills mid-service. A 2.8-inch touchscreen with single and double doses set independently and a manual mode for dialling in. Stepped grind adjustment that returns to the same place every time. A height-adjustable hands-free portafilter fork that fits what you already own, a motor on anti-vibration mounts, and a user-replaceable ground coffee spring.

Footprint is 21 by 33 centimetres, identical to the rest of the range.

Where it belongs
